Girls Night Out at Trash Film Orgy "Showgirls" Edition

Kyle's still out of town in Arizona, so I had a girl's night out with Lyndsie and Amanda on Friday. We went to Downtown to watch "Showgirls" at the Trash Film Orgy.

First stop of the night was Dive Bar, which has a giant aquarium where mermaids swim around. It was really crowded though, so we drank our alcohol and immediately headed across the street to the Crest Theater where the movie was playing.

Amanda had never seen "Showgirls" or been to TFO before, so it was fun to see someone new to the whole thing experience it.

Girls night out featuring Amanda, myself, and Lyndsie, who is by far the most animated of the three of us.

The show always opens with a skit involving scantily-clad girls and a dude in a big pink bunny suit. Also, there's Mighty Tiki, who narrates and introduces the skits. The best part of the whole experience are the comments and jeers that people shout out. The whole point is that the movie being shown is so awful it becomes amazing and the camp aspect of it is what I love about TFO.

A spanking booth set up in the lobby. And yes, I did get some spankings!

A lap dance for this gentleman sitting in front of us with a random "protester" in the background.

This is the master of ceremonies, Mighty Tiki. He's awesome.

The pink bunny man and Evil Sid, the manager at the Crest Theater, putting on a little skit before the film.

Pink Bunny Man was killed and the girls did a dance number. This is the essence of TFO - just trash, trash, trash!

I usually fall asleep or bail early from TFO screenings, but I ended up staying for the whole show. It was a super late night and I got home at 3:30 a.m. I love the weekends.

Sheer cover up - H&M; Sheer cowl neck tank - Heavenly Couture; Boots - Demonia
I included a picture of what I ended up wearing. The high-low blouse that I wore over-top of my cowl neck tank is the most extreme version of a high-low hem that I have ever worn. It's maxi-dress length in the back! Surprisingly, I didn't trip over it once.

I also wore some Demonia heeled booties for the first time. I got them on a whim from Dolls Kill and they've been accumulating dust in my closet for about a year now. They were comfortable enough and cute enough, but I'm not used to wearing boots that end at the ankle. Plus, I don't think I'll ever pony up the dough for a pair of Demonia boots again because after only being worn for about five hours and most of that time being seated in a theater, one of the spikes came off! How cheap! Yeah, I can and will superglue it back to the shoe, but the fact of the matter is that I shouldn't have to. Five hours of wear and these things are already falling apart? You suck Demonia. I'm sticking to my New Rocks, which have never failed me in eight years of wearing them.

I have chicken calves and ankles, so you can see the circumference of the ankle is far too big for me. I also included a shot of the spike that fell off right at the ankle next to the zipper. What garbage.

Until next time!
