Girls Night Out at Trash Film Orgy "Showgirls" Edition

Kyle's still out of town in Arizona, so I had a girl's night out with Lyndsie and Amanda on Friday. We went to Downtown to watch "Showgirls" at the Trash Film Orgy.

First stop of the night was Dive Bar, which has a giant aquarium where mermaids swim around. It was really crowded though, so we drank our alcohol and immediately headed across the street to the Crest Theater where the movie was playing.

Amanda had never seen "Showgirls" or been to TFO before, so it was fun to see someone new to the whole thing experience it.

Girls night out featuring Amanda, myself, and Lyndsie, who is by far the most animated of the three of us.

The show always opens with a skit involving scantily-clad girls and a dude in a big pink bunny suit. Also, there's Mighty Tiki, who narrates and introduces the skits. The best part of the whole experience are the comments and jeers that people shout out. The whole point is that the movie being shown is so awful it becomes amazing and the camp aspect of it is what I love about TFO.

A spanking booth set up in the lobby. And yes, I did get some spankings!

A lap dance for this gentleman sitting in front of us with a random "protester" in the background.

This is the master of ceremonies, Mighty Tiki. He's awesome.

The pink bunny man and Evil Sid, the manager at the Crest Theater, putting on a little skit before the film.

Pink Bunny Man was killed and the girls did a dance number. This is the essence of TFO - just trash, trash, trash!

I usually fall asleep or bail early from TFO screenings, but I ended up staying for the whole show. It was a super late night and I got home at 3:30 a.m. I love the weekends.

Sheer cover up - H&M; Sheer cowl neck tank - Heavenly Couture; Boots - Demonia
I included a picture of what I ended up wearing. The high-low blouse that I wore over-top of my cowl neck tank is the most extreme version of a high-low hem that I have ever worn. It's maxi-dress length in the back! Surprisingly, I didn't trip over it once.

I also wore some Demonia heeled booties for the first time. I got them on a whim from Dolls Kill and they've been accumulating dust in my closet for about a year now. They were comfortable enough and cute enough, but I'm not used to wearing boots that end at the ankle. Plus, I don't think I'll ever pony up the dough for a pair of Demonia boots again because after only being worn for about five hours and most of that time being seated in a theater, one of the spikes came off! How cheap! Yeah, I can and will superglue it back to the shoe, but the fact of the matter is that I shouldn't have to. Five hours of wear and these things are already falling apart? You suck Demonia. I'm sticking to my New Rocks, which have never failed me in eight years of wearing them.

I have chicken calves and ankles, so you can see the circumference of the ankle is far too big for me. I also included a shot of the spike that fell off right at the ankle next to the zipper. What garbage.

Until next time!

Outfit of the Day - I've Got More Issues Than Vogue

Graphic muscle tank - Love Culture; Chiffon jacket - thrifted; Garter belt - eBay; Boots - New Rock
One of my favorite chain stores to shop at is closing! Noooo! Love Culture is closing its stores for now at least, and have been running a "store closing" sale, so I made one last trip to the mall a few days ago and picked up some tops for about $10 each. One is the graphic muscle tank I sported today that reads: "MORE ISSUES THAN VOGUE."

I got my tape in extensions out the other day and I'm back to my beloved clip-ins. Less maintenance and they match my hair color perfectly instead of being off by a tone. BONUS: my bangs are long enough to not be swept back in a headband all the time! Granted, I'm still wearing a headband because I'm used to it and it's sort of in my comfort zone at the moment, but soon enough my bangs will be long enough to frame my face, which is my goal.

Kyle's in Arizona visiting his sister who is having a baby tonight! I'll be an aunt and he'll be an uncle. So I'm left to my own devices this week. We'll see what kind of antics I get up to. I'm guessing it's fun times with girl friends and practicing my cooking.

Here'a s few more pictures just because I liked what came of my shoot today.

A better view of my vertical striped garter skirt. It's one of met favorites and I own a whole drawer full.

I was being snarky. I'd much rather flip you off than flash a peace sign…hahaha
Until next time!

Leather & Lace LOVES - Dahlia Deranged Designs

I'm a sucker for accessories. I generally don't feel complete unless I have at least one ring, one bracelet, one necklace, and a pair of earrings on with every outfit, hence my love for Deranged Dahlia Designs.

Although I haven't bought anything from Deranged Dahlia Designs yet, I emphasize the "yet" part. I'm still trying to avoid unnecessary expenditures since I've spent so much preparing for my Hawaii trip at the end of the month.

I'm a sucker for replica animal skulls and the rams on these rings are just badass. I've already seen them on several blogs I read as well as several people I follow on Instagram. Obviously, other people like them too.
Deranged Dahlia's price points are reasonable and the pieces are both fun and dark. The ram skull is a recurring motif in all kinds of types of Deranged Dahlia jewelry, and I think I will wind up sporting more than one skull at a time.

Deranged Dahlia's cameo necklace selection is broad and there are lots of gothy options to choose from. Because I love animals, the cats and "skellicorn" were my favorites.

I seriously want to own ALL of these ram skull necklaces. But if I had to choose only one, I think I'd go with the spiked heart one or the plain one.

Until next time!

Snow White Smile Plays the Starlite Lounge

OK, so it was HOT Friday. That kind of hot where it's muggy and stale and you can't feel anything but miserable. But Snow White Smile had a gig at the Starlite Lounge, so I had to brave the heat and leave the comfort of the air conditioned house for the black leather interior of my black VW Beetle that had been baking in the sun all day. You better believe I burned the heck out of my butt cheeks just by sitting down in that thing.

Kyle says leather jackets are part of his "look" so even though it was roasting outside and not much cooler inside, he wouldn't take that thing off.
Thankfully, all my friends are involved somehow or another with the band, so Snow White Smile gigs are basically an excuse for all of us to get together and have a good time. So even though it was hot, at least we were all hot together.

I also just had some tape in extensions put in, so I had a hell of time styling them. I tried barrel curls, but I ended up with just waves. I need a lot more practice! Also, it really did make me feel so much hotter - like wearing a wool hat. Note to self: in the future, wait until fall or winter to install extensions.

Left to right: Brittany (her boyfriend is not in Snow White Smile, but another way more metal band called Alterbeast), Kasi (Zach, SWS drummer, is her husband), myself, and Lyndsie (David, the singer of SWS, is her boyfriend). Also, considering all my friends are so well-endowed, my boobs look non-existent. ;-P

A much better-lit pic of Brittany and her black sclera contacts, Lyndsie, and myself

After the show was over, we headed over to Thai Canteen, which is a few blocks away from Starlite Lounge. Instead of ending the night with a belly full of booze, I ended it with a belly full of curry and Thai noodles. Yum.

You better believe I had leftovers for a day and a half with portions this large!
My outfit of the day: UNIF Hesher vest, chiffon high-low tank, Demonia boots, and spiked headband. You can also see the texture of the waves I was able to create. Doesn't look that bad, but if you consider I was going for barrel curls, it's quite an epic fail.
Until next time!
